Due to too many recent deletion or post on ATC facebook, i want to create the same thread and the same crap talking and all that again here. There is no reason why we should not speak the truth or hide whatever that we have to hide about our cars, our future builds, why we like this shop compared to another, why we chose this route instead of this, etc etc etc. We are all grown adults and mature people we can talk shit and work shit out in the end there is no reason for continuing post being deleted. This is a car club people have the right to read and know whats going on. So ill add why is ATC different from AMA or any other car club that tried to make its mark in alaska? I mean hell now we have an facebook anchorage subaru club. We arent here to babysit shit will happen, events will happen, but deleting a post or trying to stand just over things that people say needs to stop at least, admin or not Ill stand up for whats right, i created a post it had 320+ comments the most anyone has participated in ppl got butt hurt oh well ant handle it get out. So i stand here and say IM CALLING ALL SUBARU WRX/STI AND EVO OWNERS OUT STILL! (lets see if the same amount of ppl will see this and i advice for the admin not to post a comment and see how many regular memebers participate...)

I'll participate here instead of FB, since well… I don't have a FB. Not to sure really what the point of this thread is, but I'll take a guess and make some comments based on MY observations (and opinions). 1) IMHO, Forums are better situated for smack talking and discussions of various topics. The thing with Forums over FB is you are able to separate various topics into sub forums, and as such some may only frequent (and care about) one the of topic, and ignore another all together. This way the club has a better PR presence on FB, and the forums here for people to start new topics, smack talk about others and just speak their mind. Forums, as mentioned above, have a better vehicle for separating the discussions, so that if someone wants to know an opinion of an auto shop, they don't have to sift through 30+ discussions about racing or meeting that degrade into who's e-penis is biggest. In other words, keep the FB group "cleaner" so those we are helping don't see the group as assholes. 2) To be honest, ATC really isn't too different from any other car club that had been established up here before them, it's just the new "flavor of the week" per se, that gained a lot of ground on FB where the likes of AKMS, MSAK, AKEuro and AKIC chapter for some reason didn't. Most of the other forums/groups/clubs have similar formats, rules, and frankly many of the same members. Aside from some being geared towards certain makes.. (Euro's, or Subaru's) they all are in essence the same. Hell, even Motorsportsalaska has damn near the same format layout as here. I guess the only real difference, is ATC has actually been able to do some good for the community via the donations and drives, etc.. People will always get butt hurt over something, it's the internet. They might not like that your car is slower than theirs, or handles better, or can't stand you have a hello kitty cell phone cover. Who knows, who cares its the inter webs. The creators of this group have made mention a few times from what I gathered, about making sure the FB page is inviting for ALL. Of course I could be speaking out of my ass so.. whatevers.

Ya but dont some of the people we do charity stuff for have access to the fb page? If so we look like ass's. I told brandon he should lock the fb page to just announcements of meets and charity and force every one to use the forum. The fb gets to be a pain to look through the shit to find a post you want. Just my .2 cent

We are too big to be only a FB group. Like Dan said, when trying to find something, its a pain in the ass to sift through all the crap thats in there.
I'm a huge supporter of forums and always will be.

All forums look the same it's the provider not the host. Oh and f you John lets race lol. Actually, I was referring to the layout of the forums. The "look" of the forums is based on whatever forum skin the site creators choose to enable, pay for or download. My comment however was in reference to the content of the forums, or rather the layout of the sub forums, or organization if you will. (i.e. a "Honda" section, or "Murica" section, or "Off Topic"), those are controlled by the site creator. We are too big to be only a FB group. Like Dan said, when trying to find something, its a pain in the ass to sift through all the crap thats in there. I'm a huge supporter of forums and always will be. Yup, completely agree.

So if they look at our FB page and we look like asses does that mean we are asses? So you are deleting posts and editing stuff to make it look like we are who we arent? Everyone knows that in a group that there will be disagreements. Hiding from it doesnt make it go away.

When you fight with your wife do you post it on facebook? When your brother does something stupid do you put his info on the streets? I would hope not. The things that go on within our group are a family matter and thus should be kept private. You can fight as you choose, I'd hope that you don't, but when we do on occasion (as it's inevitable) our supporters and sponsors don't need to see that.

When you fight with your wife do you post it on facebook? To be honest, sometimes. But I agree with the idea you're putting out. ...but it would be nice if there was a pop up notification on my phone every time there's an update instead of waiting for an email, kinda like how the nasioc ap is..... :-D K I'm done bitchin about it.
